Earthquake and Fire Safety
Date: June 7th, 2019
Japan is a country that experiences many earthquakes. The Earthquake and Fire Safety drill prepares students to deal with an emergency situation. They simulate the procedures that should be followed in the event of an earthquake and/or fire.
It involves the students opening the doors and windows of their classroom. Then, they take shelter under their desks while wearing their head protection. On an announcement, students then calmly evacuate the school buildings with their teachers. Fire fighters also teach students how to use a fire extinguisher.
